A dog does not have to be here to remain part of the story. The Chihuahua is being built in Sparky’s memory: a place to celebrate the companionship, character and everyday joy that little dogs bring.

A book, and a beginning

The existing Sparky book introduces a dog who is not keen on leads, walks or being told what to do. Then a little girl called Minnie arrives, and things begin to change.

The story belongs at the heart of this magazine, alongside thoughtful care guides and the stories of other much-loved Chihuahuas.
